Networking & Awards

As a member of CHBA – PEI, you will have the opportunity to build a network of business contacts and potentially increase your business by interacting with other professionals from the residential construction industry. Every member will have the opportunity to be involved in the association, chair a committee or run for a Board of Director position at the provincial or national level of CHBA. Members will also have the opportunity to receive industry recognition through our Provincial and National Awards programs (open to CHBA members).

Credibility and Professionalism

Gain credibility with consumers as a professional, experienced reliable builder or tradesperson. CHBA members agree to abide by the Code of Ethics. Participating members raise the bar for others in the industry and demonstrate commitment to professionalism. Builder members get a discount on Atlantic New Home Warranty Program membership.

Monthly Breakfast & Dinner Meetings

Build relationships with builders, renovators, trades people, suppliers and other professionals by attending. Take advantage of the opportunity to sponsor a dinner and market your business.

Member Referrals

The Association is often contacted by consumers to ask for the name of a home builder or trades person. We provide your contact information as a service to you. We are in the process of creating a new website which will include a membership directory, highlighting each member and provide contact information for your services/products.

Marketing and Advertising

Use the CHBA logo. It is available to all members in good standing and is recognized nationally. Use the logo on your business cards, company letterhead, business correspondence and websites. List your name and company on the CHBA-PEI and CHBA National websites with links to your business website. Promotion of your business through CHBA-PEI’s social media streams.

Information Sessions, Education and Training

Attend an information session on various products, an emergency first aid course or other information sessions pertinent to your industry. An opportunity for our members to upgrade their skills and stay ahead of the competition. Typically, members will be offered a special discounted rate for these training opportunities.

7.

Annual Golf Tournament

Each year the association holds a Golf Tournament. Attend a fun day of golf all while networking with colleagues from the residential construction industry.

8.

Giving Back to our Island Community

Each year we choose an Island charity. Portions of the putting contest held at our annual golf event and sales of 50/50 tickets from monthly dinners are donated to a local charity.

Communication

Through newsletters and articles of interest shared with members. Be informed and up-to-date on issues pertaining to the residential construction industry.

Member Discounts

CHBA member firms, and their staff, are eligible for discounts and special offers on a range of products and services through the CHBA National Advantages program. Offers from more companies are continually rolled out, and members are emailed details on the new savings. Check out all the great savings through the Members Advantage Program (MAP).
